Last updated: August 17, 2026
As people of St. Paul’s, we believe that sharing Christ’s love means showing up for our neighbors — especially when they need us most.
This page is a list of ways to give, serve, donate needed items and find help. Needs and volunteer opportunities are changing quickly, so please check back.
PLEASE NOTE: Flood recovery work can be dangerous. Do not enter flooded or evacuated areas on your own or simply show up at a disaster site. Work through an established organization and receive an assignment before arriving. Indiana emergency-management officials specifically recommend this approach.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The flooding affecting Indianapolis and communities throughout Indiana has displaced families, damaged homes and businesses and left neighborhoods facing an enormous cleanup and recovery effort. It has affected members of our parish and our wider community. As we begin the work of recovery, St. Paul’s is now collecting restaurant and grocery gift cards to support those whose homes and daily lives have been affected by the flooding. Whenever possible, we encourage gift cards from locally owned Broad Ripple restaurants. Supporting our neighbors means supporting the people that make our community home — and many of those businesses are facing their own losses and recovery challenges following the flooding. If you’d like to donate gift cards for this purpose, please bring to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Indianapolis (6050 N Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208; main office on second floor of Parish Center building) during office hours Tuesday-Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Give Money
Financial gifts are often the fastest and most flexible way to help. Established relief organizations can purchase exactly what is needed, when it is needed, and can provide assistance directly to survivors.
Donate Supplies
Some local shelters and community collection centers are currently accepting specific supplies. Please do not assume that a shelter or relief organization can accept donations. Check the current list below before loading your car.
Volunteer
Cleanup and recovery will continue long after the water recedes. Sign up with an established organization so you can be matched with safe, appropriate work.
Need Help?
If you or someone you know has been affected by the flooding, resources are available for shelter, food, emergency assistance, recovery and referrals.
