A Conversation About The Avenue Foundation & The Avenue Coffeehouse
Monday, March 23, 5:30-8 p.m., Lilly Room
In 2021, St. Paul’s began supporting the work of The Avenue Foundation with hope and prayer — including a commitment to help launch The Avenue Coffeehouse in Broad Ripple Village and to support its early years. St. Paul’s provided generous investments of time, resources, and encouragement before the coffeehouse closed this past spring. We know there are a range of feelings connected to this and know that open conversation matters. Please join us for a chance to reflect on what was hoped for, what was learned, and where we go from here.
The goals:
Develop an accurate narrative and timeline about what happened (and also an accounting of money spent).
Provide an opportunity to express unresolved issues and feelings about this project.
Discuss what we learned from this experience and how we can apply these learnings to our decision making and outreach efforts in the future.
Experience a constructive, life-filled, safe process by which we process together.
Determine our readiness and willingness to let go and move forward.
Commit to participation in a healing liturgy.
