Help A Beloved Neighbor
Dear St. Paul's Indy Parishioners,
We have an opportunity to show our support and care for a member of our extended St. Paul's family. Our Facilities Manager, Audra Thomas’ beloved aunt, Wanda, is an 86-year-old widow living on a fixed income. Recently, a large tree fell in her yard during a storm. Because it didn't damage her house, her insurance won't cover the removal.
The tree is currently resting on a property line, and if it falls completely, it could damage her neighbor's fence, which would be another significant expense for her. Her church and family have been working to raise the funds to help her, but the cost of professional removal is substantial. She received quotes as high as $3,600.
This is where we believe our compassionate St. Paul's community can help. We're looking for support in two ways:
Skilled Volunteers: Do you have the skills and equipment to safely remove a large tree? We need someone with the know-how to tackle this project and help Wanda get her yard back.
Professional Connections: Do you have connections to a tree removal service that could offer a discounted rate or pro bono work? We're hoping to find a more affordable solution for her.
Wanda is a loving, faithful, and inspiring woman who has been a grandmother figure to her niece and many more. Let's show her the power of our community's generosity and help her get this taken care of.
If you or someone you know can help, please reach out to Dan Thompson, dthompson@stpaulsindy.org.
Thank you for your consideration!
