• About this CD
This CD is music that fifty-one members of St. Paul's Choir sang on an exciting musical and spiritual journey in July 2006 as they toured the United Kingdom. The inter-generational choir served as choir-in-residence at St. Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, York Minster and Westminster Abbey where they led daily choral services. Members of the tour choir diligently prepared for this experience with more than two years of rehearsals, concerts and services.

A typical day on the tour included 2- 3 hours of rehearsal, choral evensong service, sightseeing and fellowship. The trip was a fun experience for all involved, but the choir's first and foremost responsibility was to lead worship. Singers led choral evensong at the close of each day. At St. Mary's the choir sang the Sunday morning Eucharist and at York, they led both the Sunday Eucharist and Matins service.

Places that the choir visited include Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, Holyrood Palace, Tate Gallery, Tate Modern, Hyde Park, and the Natural History Museum of London. They received private educational tours of both York Minster and Westminster Abbey. Choir member Peter Alig was so awestruck by the Minster that he wrote the following, "The Minster is a reminder that God is the source and summit of all that is good and holy; and God is that to which all things will be reconciled at the end of days. The Minster is an ageless reminder of the greatest truths that undergird human flourishing."
