 Our Vision: "Innovative Mission for Christ"
After prayerful reflection, we believe God calls the St. Paul's community of faith to focus our passion, energy and resources on Innovative Mission for Christ. We celebrate God's call and embrace this glorious thread in the fabric of our history and our future. To help us live fully into God's call to Innovative Mission for Christ, we affirm that:
• Our Baptismal Covenant is not a moment in history, but a living vow to face evolving challenges with loving, open and creative minds.
• Gathering for spirited worship and common prayer honors our valued traditions, while nourishing our sense of purpose and of God's abiding confidence in our ability to adapt and to grow.
• Studying scripture helps us listen afresh to the voice of God and understand our call, as a people of God, to use the enormous capacity of our ministries in ways not yet revealed to us.
• Nurturing one another through loving relationships and fellowship allows us to know the feeling of the renewing power of the Holy Spirit, and reminds us that the Church is an extension of the incarnation of Jesus, our Lord. - By reaching out and sharing our gifts with others, without pre-set boundaries, we celebrate God's unconditional generosity and grace.
• Claiming our call to innovative mission, without concern for "failure," frees us to make intentional decisions about how to best use our gifts and resources for God's transforming work in the Church and the world today.
