Opportunities for Young Children
Kids' Word/Kids' Song:
Sermon alternative for children
Children ages 3-8 may attend Kids' Word (Gospel-related activities) or Kids' Song (music instruction, on the third Sunday of the month) in place of the 9:00 a.m. sermon. Children are excused during the pre-Gospel hymn and meet at the east side doors by the Chapel of the Good Shepherd.
Beginning Singers
The Choir School offers children in grades 3-8 individual instruction in music theory and vocal training free of charge. Interested children do not need to be members of St. Paul's or the Episcopal Church. Beginning trebles learn to read music and acquire basic vocal technique for singing.
Practices are on Thursdays from 4:45-6:00 p.m. Choir School members sing with the intergenerational choir at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday service. The winter semester starts in January.
