Going Green Initiative & the Green Team
Contact the Green Team
As a community of faith, our approach to living "green" has its basis in scripture. In early 2008 St. Paul's started a Going Green Initiative, lead by a "Green Team." Green Team members are committed to looking at environmental sustainability as a social justice issue, remembering that peace and justice are part of God's plan for Creation. They focus on energy, purchasing and recycling, education, worship, and community outreach.

e-Cycling Drive a HUGE success!
Thank you all for making our first e-cycling event a huge success! Together we provided over 50 working computers and a large number of working computer components for Wings for West Africa, as well as nearly 9 tons of office electronics for Workforce, Inc. and numerous cell phones to benefit our own Children's Corner Preschool.
This event was not only an environmental stewardship success, but it also brought together numerous churches in a common effort. We received truck and van loads of electronics from numerous other Episcopal churches (Whiteland, Nashville, Terre Haute and West Lafayette, to name a few) and also from other nearby churches (Bethlehem Lutheran, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Carmel Methodist, and a Baptist church in Fishers).
If you missed the event, or if you have additional office electronics to donate, simply take it to Workforce, Inc. at the Saturday morning Farmers Market at 62nd and Allisonville Rd. If you'd like to donate fairly new computers (anything that's new enough that it didn't come with a floppy disk drive), contact Wings for West Africa.
Congratulations! You helped to keep 9 tons of materials out of Indiana landfills!

Recycling at St. Paul's
Drop off your recyclables on Sunday, or any day/time that's convenient for you! The Republic Recycling Bin is located in the northeast corner of the parking lot. Acceptable items include paper, magazines, cardboard (please flatten), aluminum cans, and #1 and #2 plastics. Remember to wash aluminum/plastics if they have residue.
"The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it." (Psalms 24:1).
