With your help, St. Paul's seeks to be a diverse, generous and faithful community. We invite all people into a renewed, reconciled and loving relationship with Jesus Christ so that together we can reveal God's joy and love in the world.
So thank you! Thank you so much for helping to make St. Paul’s a generous place of welcome and hospitality. In the Gospel of Matthew Jesus says, “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matt 11:28-29).
Our neighbors come to church for a variety of reasons: to praise God, to find rest and solace, to explore a call to faith. Together we walk in the footsteps of Jesus alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ as well as those who want to know Jesus and learn about God’s teachings.
We are a large faith community and receive a number of seekers and visitors each Sunday. Many of our neighbors are brand new to The Episcopal Church. In addition, our campus is large and can be hard for a newcomer to navigate. Therefore, your service as a Welcome Minister is an integral part of our Sunday worship.
Your ministry helps ensure that everyone visiting our community has can access God in whatever way they need to on any given day. As a Welcome Minister, you will often be the first point of contact for newcomers and existing worship community. Before, during, and after the service, your presence also helps ensure smoothness in the many moving pieces of our worship.
So thank you! Thank you for opening your hearts to this ministry. To learn more about Welcome Ministries at St. Paul’s, please contact the Rev. Sarah Ginolfi.
