ANNUAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDE

WAYCROSS GRANT PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH

[click here for details & forms]  Summer camp often is a life-changing and transformative experience. Children and youth who participate in at least 75% of Sunday School classes, and are active in Sunday worship (choir, reading, ushering, Kids Word, etc.) and fellowship events will be eligible for a significant grant to attend Waycross Summer Camp.

ALL PARISH PANCAKE SUPPER

FOOD SERVED BETWEEN 5:00-7:00 P.M.  I  PARISH HALL

[Tuesday, February 28, 2017]   The youth of our parish host this free, all-you-can-eat dinner. Mardi Gras is the theme so come festive if you’d like! The breakfast buffet includes a variety of pancakes, real maple syrup, eggs, sausage, fruit and beverages. Pancake races, crafts and activities for children are planned. There is not charge but donations are welcome. Invite family and friends for a tasty, enjoyable evening meal! Staff contact:  Erica Jeglum

CHILDREN'S EASTER EGG HUNT(S)

10:30 A.M. & 12:45 P.M.  I  COURTYARD, PLAYGROUND & WEST LAWN

[Sunday, April 16, 2017]   All children, toddler through 5th grade, are invited to hunt for Easter eggs after the 9:00 or 11:15 a.m. worship services. Easter coloring bags with crayons inside will be located at the sanctuary entrances. Children are invited to take one on their way into worship, color the bag and use it for the egg hunt.  Staff contact:  Erica Jeglum

 

YOUTH EASTER EGG HUNT

[Sunday, April 23, 2017]   Youth in 6th grade and up are invited to participate in a more challenging Easter egg hunt. Middle school and high school youth participate in this activity in leiu of their regular Sunday School class.  Staff contact:  Erica Jeglum

BLESSING OF THE BACKPACKS

10:00 A.M. WORSHIP SERVICE

[Sunday, August 20, 2017]   August is “back to school” month for most! Students of all ages are invited to bring their backpacks to church for a special blessing at the 10:00 a.m. worship service. Following the service, enjoy lunch from Bub's Burgers Food Truck, Three bounce houses, a giant bubble station, free cold refreshments and Sunday School registration, and more.  Staff contact:  Erica Jeglum

 

YOUTH LOCK-IN

$15 PER YOUTH  I  REGISTER ONLINE  I  PERMISSION SLIP

[November 4-5, 2016]  Youth eat dinner together, and then travel to a nearby location for an activity. Later in the evening, we will have snacks, games, a midnight prayer experience and movies. The cost of the overnight is $15. Permission Slip is required.  Staff contact: Erica Jeglum

 

ALL SAINTS PROCESSION

OFFERED AT BOTH THE 9:00 & 11:15 A.M. WORSHIP SERVICES

[Sunday, November 6, 2016]   Children will dress as saints and process into the church with clergy and choir at the beginning of the service. Sign up online here. We will provide the costumes, props and banner. Staff contact:  Debby Thomas

 

MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL SERVICE PROJECT AT GLEANERS

8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  I  Gleaners Food Bank

[November 2016, TBD]  We will be participating in the making of the 10,000 backsacks needed each week for children in grades K-6 that face hunger over the weekend. Drop off & pick up at St. Paul’s. We will have a simple lunch at St. Paul’s after our work at Gleaners. Closed-toe shoes and release forms for Gleaners and permission slips for St. Paul's are required.

 

ST. NICK PARTY

6:00-8:00 P.M.  I  PARISH HALL

[Friday, December 2, 2016]   Come for cookie decorating, holiday craft and ornament making, Christmas pictures and carols. St. Nick will be there with stories and surprises for all. Buffet-style dinner served.  Staff contact:  Erica Jeglum

EPIPHANY TOY DRIVE

TOYS COLLECTED AT ALL SUNDAY SERVICES

[January 8, 2017]   This is a great time to get rid of toys and books your child has aged-out of, or to pass on duplicate or unwanted Christmas gifts. New and gently-used toys, games, books, etc. will be collected for children at Dayspring Center homeless shelter for families. Items may be brought one week in advance of or to any of the Sunday worship services.  Staff contact:  Debby Thomas

 

YOUTH URBAN MISSION WEEKEND

[Friday-Sunday, January 13-15, 2017]   Youth and chaperones will drive to Chicago for a weekend of service work in Chicago. All will attend worship at a local parish on Sunday. Cost is $120/youth which includes travel, lodging and meals.  Staff contact:  Erica Jeglum
